I'm guessing the year is 1978 and the driver is Carlos Reutemann?

Is this car actually a 312T4 ? If you know you can tell me and I will update it. Seems to me the 312T was for the 1975 car. I was going to college then and as Ferrari reemerged into Formula one dominance once again I thought these were the most beautiful racing cars ever.

My sources actually indicate the 1978 car, introduced at the South African GP and driven by Reutemann (Number 11) and Gilles Villeneuve (blue helmet, Number 12), was known as the 312T3. The T4 was the 1979 car driven by Villeneuve and Jody Scheckter, taking Scheckter to the championship. (Reutemann teamed with Mario Andretti at Lotus that year.) I think what you've got there is the 312T3.

BTW Did you know that there was one oddball variant of the 312T that had 6 tires on 4 wheels-two normal tires on the front, but each rear wheel mounted two tires side-by-side? Here's a link: [link] -scroll down to "Six-wheelers." (In addition to the Tyrrell P34 that actually raced and won, there were other six-wheelers developed by Ferrari, March, and Williams that weren't raced.) Apparently Reutemann tested it but didn't like it enough to want to race it.
