Thanks Brian. I lived in Vancouver Washington for 5 years in my youth and visited Mt. Hood many times to go tubing and hiking. I loved it there. If you are flying from Portland or Seattle and get up in the air on a clear day you can see all of the mountains in the area. Rainier, St. Helens , Baker, and Hood. I love these mountains. Thanks for your kind words.

I visited Seattle and backpacked the Wonderland Trail on Mt Rainier in Aug 2004. Spectacular out there and look forward to returning someday. The flight home was great ... got the view of Rainer, Adams, St. Helens and Hood sticking out of the cloud deck, wish I would have snapped a photo!
